Core of Knowledge: Emergency Intervention Non Violent - Unusual Incident Reporting aka SIR (November 2025)
This class will clearly define the who, what, when, where and how of special incident reporting. This class will help assist service providers and their staff to understand special incident report requirements and how to incorporate the SIR process into the facilities risk assessment process.
By the end of the course, participants will:
1. Learn to recognize which incidents require filling out an Unusual Incident Report/SIR
2. Learn how to clearly fill out an Unusual Incident Report/SIR
3. Learn who to submit Unusual Incident Report/SIR to CCL and Regional Center
4. Learn legal timeframes to fill out an Unusual Incident Report/SIR
5. Learn to use the Unusual Incident Report/SIR process in their risk assessment process
